Footsteps School is a co-educational, non-denominational primary school and welcomes students from all cultures, religions and nationalities to reflect our vibrant and diverse Cayman community. Footsteps is a nature school, with regular beach-learning opportunities, used to positively enhance the curriculum. Footsteps school offers a varied and stimulating curriculum based on the English National Curriculum 2014. 

Applications will be taken purely on a first-come, first-served basis and there will be no priority given to any student, with the exception of siblings of current or past students. Footsteps School accepts students throughout the year, as long as there is space in the relevant class. . 


Children must be four years of age on or before 1st September in the school year in which they enter Reception. Children in year 6 will be 11 years old when they transition to high school. 



Students with recognised special educational needs and disabilities may be invited into school for an informal assessment and a short trial. At this point, any psychologist or other professional reports should be submitted for review. If a place is available, parents will receive a letter of acceptance and will be asked to confirm the place by a given date. Whilst Footsteps is an inclusive school, we strive to maintain the recommended balance of student population with SEND in order for our school to be a true representation of society and for the working environment to be balanced, manageable and beneficial to all. 


Admissions Procedure

Interested parents and students are invited to have tour of the school to see the learning environment and meet our children and staff team. 

Please contact or to arrange a tour of the school or to request the registration documents. 

Next steps:

  • Complete and return student registration form

  • Ask your child's current school/daycare provider to complete and return the student reference form

  • Pay non-refundable registration fee of $250

  • Upon a place being offered, complete sign Parent & Student agreement forms and provide required documentation

  • Pay required deposit to secure your child's place, refundable against the first month's fees
