Footsteps School is a co-educational, non-denominational primary school and welcomes students from all cultures, religions and nationalities to reflect our vibrant and diverse Cayman community. Footsteps is a nature school, with regular beach-learning opportunities, used to positively enhance the curriculum. Footsteps school offers a varied and stimulating curriculum based on the English National Curriculum 2014.
Footsteps prides itself on small class sizes and a boutique learning experience. We offer a family orientated, open door policy and aim for children to feel safe and secure at school, just as they do at home.
Applications will be taken purely on a first-come, first-served basis and there will be no priority given to any student, with the exception of siblings of current or past students. Footsteps School accepts students throughout the year, as long as there is space in the relevant class. We also welcome overseas applicants. Children must be four years of age on or before 1st September in the school year in which they enter Reception. Children in year 6 will be 11 years old when they transition to high school.
Students with recognised special educational needs and disabilities will be invited into school for an informal assessment and a short trial. If a place is available, parents will receive a letter of acceptance and will be asked to confirm the place by paying a security deposit. Whilst Footsteps is an inclusive school, we strive to maintain the recommended 15% of student population with SEND in order for our school to be a true representation of society, and for the working environment to be balanced, manageable and beneficial to all.
